#### Major Update for Saturdays run ##### This is quite a long one team but please ensure you read so youre across everything for Saturday. 1. Please be at the starting point no later than 8.30am!!! This is at Peasholm St Dog Beach carpark just south of Scarborough. I will be there from 8am. (There are toilet facilities here) 2. Your best bet is to be dropped off there if you can so you dont have to leave your car there. Bags can be left in the cars being used for drink stations which will then be at finish line for you. (tip: bring a towel for a possible swim after) 3. REVIEW THE MAP (see below). Please take the time to familiarise yourself with the route. The majority of the route is very simple as you just follow the bike path but there are a few critical turns. I will endeavour to have a Marshall on all these turns to assist but please make sure you are familiar with it. (Feel free to save Carissas number 0449 258 922....in the very very remote chance you find yourself off course) 4. Bear in mind Cyclists will be on the path too, please keep to the left at all times. Be safe and take care crossing any roads along the way. 5. Drink stations will be at 5km, 8km, 13km, 17km marks. Make sure you keep yourself hydrated during the run. 6. For long distances some people choose to use Gels to give them extra energy. My recommendation would be to have one 15 minutes before we start and one again at either the 8 or 13km drink station. (Supply these ones yourself) 7. The finish line is the South Beach Hotel (SBH), once youre finished we can cheer on each competitor as they finish. 8. There will be some platters and a few drinks put on for us at the SBH afterwards and some presentations. Nik at the SBH has been amazing putting support behind us this to make it happen, Will be fantastic if everyone can hang around, support the major sponsor of this event and join in the celebrations. If any family/friends want to join too then they are more than welcome and this is encouraged. Finally if anyone knows of someone who is relatively handy and owns a decent camera who would be happy to take some snaps throughout the day can you let me know please.
