Make The Homeless Smile is an amazingly uplifting video created by YouTubers TrueStoryASA who describe themselves as three teenagers who just love making videos. In a deviation from their usual prank-orientated style of video, the trio Adam Saleh, Sheikh Akbar and Abdullah Ghuman decided to make a video about trying to cheer up some homeless people. They collected items of clothing that they no longer wore, bought simple foodstuff like fruit and water and went around handing these items out to people on the streets. Watching these jovial teens taking time out of their day and trying to do something to help those less fortunate than themselves really is heartwarming. Seeing their beaming smiles, alongside those who had been given the simple, yet essential items, really does give you hope that we can be better people and that there is some compassion left in this world. I think part of the reason this video is so powerful, is that going round handing out hugs and food to the homeless is not something you’d normally expect teenagers to do off their own backs. I know I’m generalizing somewhat when I say that, but you get my drift. Especially growing up where I have, in inner city London, seeing teenagers going out of their way to help the vulnerable and the destitute is not a common occurrence. Kudos to these kids, because not only did they make a lot of homeless people smile with their video, it also worked as one of those ‘reaffirming your faith in humanity’ clips as it is clear from comments, likes and shares that it inspired and moved a hell of a lot of people! https://facebook/photo.php?v=546008178774738&set=vb.100000966828092&type=2&theater
