Make it Matter Monday! Here’s a major throwback video from last year’s HP Run to help us remind that altruistic feeling of making it matter in our community. You too can have that feeling if you register on HP Run 2014! vimeo/74627223 This same day last year, HP Philippines staged HP Run 2013 which helped build classrooms for Tenement Elementary School in Taguig City. A total of 200,000.00 PHP were garnered and donated which was used to renovate classrooms to the said school. Volunteer employees also helped paint classroom partitions and cabinets as well as assembled tables and chairs and floor mats for the classrooms of kindergarten students. This was made possible thanks to the participation of 1500 runners during the event! This year, HP Run 2014 will be held with the same objective as last year’s event – to promote physical wellness and be able to give back and make it matter in our community. A few months after HP Run 2013, our country was hit hard by super typhoon Yolanda which left a lot of our Kababayan homeless, hungry and sick. It was during this disastrous event that the spirit of bayahihan burned strong among us Filipinos. We showed how resilient we can be when we help each other to the other nations who also extended their helping hands to us. Though we have somewhat recovered already, a lot of our Kababayan are still in need of our help on getting back up. With that said, the proceeds for this year’s benefit run will be donated to the Philippine Disaster Recovery Foundation (PDRF) with the aim to help create 2 eHealth Centers for use in areas affected by Typhoon Yolanda.
