Make no mistake, the brain is a muscle that needs regular exercise. When we use a particular area of our brain, more blood is pumped into that area of the brain and it creates energy, and thus thought becomes energy. Stimulate your brain by learning or doing something new, learning something new creates new neurological pathways. Curiosity, is the hunger of the mind, so when you think about it, knowledge is food for thought as the old saying goes. Question, explore, keep an open mind, what is true today may no longer hold relevance tomorrow. Listen learn and adapt. Its also healthy to think positive, this is good for your brain as an organ, this does not mean that you have to adapt rose colored glasses, however, positive thought can be a form of discipline and helps with the brains maintenance and care. For example, stress and anxiety have been shown to potentially kill existing brain neurons. This is part of the reason why I can accept that depression can be seen as an actual disease, most diseases, unlike viruses, can be cured with dietary and lifestyle adjustments such as regular exercise. Eating healthy, proper rest, and limiting the use of technology will strengthen our brains as well. Dont be afraid to hit the mental gym. Peace
