Make sure to clear the snow off your vehicle CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – With the possibility of snow on the way it’s important to remember to clear off your cars before you start driving. It is actually illegal for trucks and cars to drive around with snow on their roofs in Massachusetts. That’s because when you’re traveling at high speeds it can fly off onto the car behind you, covering their windshield so they can’t see. Dan Tracy of Chicopee told 22News it’s happened to him. He said, “Sometimes it’s really hard snow so it feels like it’s going to go right through your windshield so you do swerve and kind of lose control.” Failing to remove snow from your car roof could result in a $200 ticket.
