Making fun of religion. Its common and accepted for us as a society to mock music, movies, politics, gays, tragedies, geographies, races, accents, sports and everything else under the sun. Yet when it comes to ones faith they become incredibly offended and hostile. There are many references in tv and every other mediums joking about 9/11 and they are accepted. However, if I mock a religion, Ive crossed the line. If eyes are opened by the mocking of a musician or politician then why is it taboo to put a faith under the same scrutiny? How many of you wouldnt read this post if I hadnt put the title line?
