Making progress on the 2H diesel engine rebuild on the overland vehicle. I have taken off the cylinder head (being sent off to be inspected for structural integrity), water pump, battery, alternator, starter, radiator, intake/exhaust manifolds, EDIC (being replaced with a mechanical cutoff cable), push rods/cover, bearing caps, pistons, fuel injection nozzels, glow plugs, oil/fuel filters, and a few other misc items. Now once the engine rebuild kit comes in next week, the engine is for the most part ready to rebuild. Allot of the parts that are critical to mechanical functioning and prone to potential failure are being replaced and the old functioning parts are being kept as spares (such as the alternator, starter, water pump, etc.).
