Eugene winner Silas Kiplagat won the 1500 m in 3:35.69 ahead of improved Austrian Andreas Vojta 3:36.36 (was leading). Ethiopian junior Muktar Edris in dramatic finish beat over 5000 m in 13:04.65 Kenyan Augustine Choge 13:05.31 with Kenyan Cyrus Rutto third in PB 13:12.91. Unfortunately it was not the day for legendary Kenenisa Bekele who did not finish the race and stopped 3 laps to go. 2009 World champion Ryan Brathwaite won clearly the hurdles in good 13.21 (+0.8). Drama at 400 m hurdles, US Justin Gaymon was reinstated and won in 48.87, LJ Van Zyl remained disqualified. Second Rhys Williams 49.09. Women running events had Abeba Aregawi clocking new Swedish 800 m record 1:59.20, US Keshia Baker won the 400 m 51.73 and in the 200 m Eurowinner Mariya Ryemyen dominated in 22.70 (+1.0) ahead of US Tiffany Townsend 22.74 and Dutch Dafne Schippers with Moscow standard 22.84. Steeple specialist Almaz Ayana won the 5000 m in 14:52.42 PB ahead of juniors Buze Diriba 14:52.89 PB and Kenyan Agnes Tirop 14:54.12 PB with favorite Gelete Burka fourth 14:54.76.
