Malawi should think of economic independence-Germany. The Germany government has hinted that the minimal budgetary support Malawi is recieving from its donors is a clear signal that the country should start embracing economic activities that will lead the nation to economic independence. The remarks comes as government is keen to correcting loopholes in the public finance management system as a measure of getting back donor confidence from development partners who suspended aid due to cash-gate. Speaking in an interview, Germany ambassador to make Peter woeste said Malawi needs to put its house in order because aid will not be there forever.
