STATEMENT OF PURPOSE STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS22769C1 This legislation would establish a Wolf Control Fund and a State Board to direct and manage the fund. This legislation would establish fees from the sportsmen and livestock industries to be allocated into the Wolf Control Fund. The responsibility of the Board would be to allocate the money for wolf control. The money allocated from this fund will be used for control actions for wolves where there is depredation conflict between wolves and wildlife or livestock. FISCAL NOTE The Governors recommendation calls for a one time $2 million allocation from the General Fund to be deposited into the Wolf Control Fund Reimbursement of actual expenses incurred by appointed members shall be paid from the state Wolf Control Fund and should not exceed $1,500 per meeting.
