Malmesbury builders - I am looking to make to some acoustic screens for St Marys Hall, to improve the very echoey sound in there for the high energy pre-school kids, the noisy football playing scouts and of course, for the series of acoustic and rock gigs Im about to put on in there in the autumn. The acoustic screens will be made from wooden frames, filled with loft insulation and covered in material. Ideally, I would be making a total of around 55 square metres of screens and the expensive bit is the insulation material. So, any ideas how I can get some for free or cheap? The insulation needs to be fire retardant (which I assume is pretty standard anyway) so, Im thinking, is there anyone out there who has a load left of from a job that are happy to sell off? Or anyone about to bulk buy a load and would be happy to add some extras to their order for this? Or does anyone have any lying around they want to get rid of? Just thought Id ask before I try and do a deal with B&Q and probably have to make less than the room needs! Any ideas much appreciated. :-)
