Mami Tata has a complaint about Tamara: that Tamara sometimes talked in a vulgar manner that has embarrassed the other waria(s) during the workshops. Mami Tata hopes that Tamara will bring back the waria(s) to participate in her collaboration with Mulyana in their art project… In an earlier conversation, Tamara has expressed that she has tried to involve the waria community before they failed to turn up a second time for the workshop. Tamara says she now focuses on continuing work with the community of women at Pak Jokos puppetry space. Mami Tata tells me more, bringing up her fish pond enterprise that she hopes to start for her waria community, and how together with Pak Jokos craft workshop, she hopes it will boost Sorongenen as a tourist destination. She wants Tamara to involve the waria community in the production of handicrafts for sale to the tourists. Mami laments that she is powerless in changing Tamaras manners to speak and behave with decorum… She calls Tamara every day without fail. Mami Tata worries about her daughter her prodigy. At Sorogenen Mami Tata has come for Tamara, watching over her. Igbals mother looked up every now and then from her embroidery to watch for her son playing nearby. Pak Joko watches over the activities in his joglo as he polishes the gamelan drums.
