Man, hes KILLING IT or Wow, he just KILLED IT With all the war - TopicsExpress

Man, hes KILLING IT or Wow, he just KILLED IT With all the war and endless death that is going on in the world, I have something to say that I would like to ask my friends to think about…. We (for sure in the extreme sports world) all use the term “KILLING IT!! Or KILLED IT!!” when we talk about something that was amazing or fantastic. Our words and choice of them, carry so much weight. The world has managed to take the most powerful and horrible word of all and turned it into something we are PROUD of. How did that happen? I don’t want to kill anything. I don’t want my friends or family to KILL anything either. Live and let live, isn’t that what we, especially the holistic community where we live, came here for? We use words without considering the collective psychological power they have. When the entire world is celebrating the term “killing it”, don’t you think that those who are ACTUALLY killing others, feel just that one degree less connected to their actions? That someone out there might just feel one less twinge of guilt? What about simply saying AWESOME, FANTASTIC, saying what we MEAN? The energy of our words transfers through sound waves, that pass through the atmosphere, and never end. The entire planet carries those energies and bathes us in them. The ripples of a stone on a still lake never end, they dissipate and connect to other ripples that went before them. So it is with our words. The effects, while not always visible, persist. Mean what you say, say what you mean is more than a “motivational/inspirational” idiom. I for one, would like to see all my friends at least THINK about what they are saying, because I know that given the option to kill something or someone, even a wave, the thing we all love the most who live here, would not do. Think about it. I tagged you all because I love you, I look up to you, I find you as good examples for my children. Let’s take our language to the next level, deeper, more meaningful, with more intent. Always remembering to love and live mindfully. Just a thought from trying to be the change I want to see in the world. If anything should go viral peace and love should be at the top of the list.
