Man not sure what state his license was issued in FORT WALTON BEACH – A 21-year-old Fort Walton Beach man is accused of telling officers that he wasn’t sure which of four states he might have a driver’s license out of. Alfred Earsell Williams was stopped by Fort Walton Beach police on Aug. 16 for “numerous traffic violations,” according to the arrest report. Williams told the officer that he was not sure if he had a valid driver’s license from Florida or North Carolina. He then told another officer that he didn’t have a license from North Carolina, but he might have one out of South Carolina or New York, the report said. Officers tried to verify his license using his name and birth date, but were unable to find any valid driver’s licenses. Two identification cards were found on record, according to the report. One was from North Carolina and one from Florida. Williams was placed under arrest, the report said. Police found two syringes, a red cloth bag with a syringe and a silver spoon and a butterfly knife on his person. A suspected marijuana smoking device was found on another person in the vehicle, according to the report. Williams “immediately admitted ownership” of the device.
