Management by humans may not be the best direction, with a Climax animal (the Wild Horse) I think we should operate from the point of Nature, not the whim of Cattle Ranchers. With holistic ranching for instance, cattle are moved about the way the great herds of Buffalo once roamed and migrated. In some cases, Cattle need to be managed artificially as close to a Natural Paradigm as possible because Cattle are not an indigenous animal to North America. The Wild Horse is, however and must be given priority as an animal that belongs here, a Natural Species indigenous to America (a returned native) Both Holistic Ranching and giving the Wild Horse the room and migration allowance it needs to self regulate, will also help to restore the Range.
