Minimum Requirements... Requirements: • An appropriate 3 year B-degree/ Diploma (or equivalent qualification) - NQF 6; • A minimum of 10 years recognizable experience in Community Development after obtaining the required qualification, of which 5 years must be appropriate experience in community policy development; Job Specification... Key performance areas: • Develop and implement collaborative projects between government and partners • Develop and implement frameworks regarding linking with private business partners (social responsibility) to enhance the business of the department. • Create a consultative environment for the funded organizations to do business with the department. • Elicit the implementation of PPP business projects for the department • Promote Social Entrepreneurship. Competencies: • Knowledge of the following: o Policy formulation and implementation; o Financial Management; o Public Services Management Framework, i.e. PFMA, Labour Relations Act, etc.; o Business development/ enterprise development/ PPPs / social entrepreneurship projects and initiatives; • Extensive knowledge on theories and systems, skills, attitudes and values in community development to guide employees on its application; • Good communication (written and verbal) skills in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape; • Presentation and negotiation skills; • The ability and competence to manage business projects and interface with Corporate Social Investment units as well as the ability to influence business, corporate, international entities and other partners.
