Provides direction to staff, steers quality and best practice, provides reports to management on work flow, budget and activity of department. Conducts performance management and development of staff, co-ordinates development of policies and procedures and quality in line with National Standards and numerical profile and liaises with other hospital staff and external agencies e.g. universities and allocation committee.
