Manager, Strategic Planning - Abercrombie & Fitch Co. Columbus, OH Reports To: Head of Strategic Planning A&F seeks a talented individual to assume role within the Strategic Planning team. This person will be responsible for managing long-term corporate planning and analyzing short-term strategic business decisions. This position will be instrumental in evolving the direction of the business as we continue our global expansion. Responsibilities: Manage projects to help us better understand A&F’s competitive and market position in markets we compete in today, both domestically and internationally; Analyzing external market data ( demand and product trends, industry dynamics, and competitor analysis); Analyzing and assess internal data(customer and financial information, merchandise strategy, and real estate development); Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of global and regional markets to assess growth opportunities; Help drive the cross-functional initiatives that the company has deemed to be most critical to our future growth; this may include working with departments such as Real Estate, IT, DTC, Marketing, Merchandising, Merchandise Planning, Financial Planning & Analysis, and others; Work with leadership to outline our long-term strategic roadmap Present analysis and resulting conclusions to senior management; Ad hoc projects for CEO and other members of leadership Qualification: BA/BS in a business/analytical major; Strong analytical background with experience working in highly strategic organizations; 6-10 years of experience in a strategy, consulting, or investment banking role, with a focus on retail and/or apparel; Experience working in branded specialty retail or consumer oriented environments; Good understanding of financial accounting, modeling and valuation techniques; Ability to work collaboratively and openly with cross-functional business partners in a non-hierarchical, ‘titles at the door’ business environment; Excellent communication skills and strong project management capabilities; Creative approach to problem solving with a humble, team-oriented and optimistic attitude; Entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to handle significant responsibility; Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment; Self starter and independent, able to drive projects to conclusion and work effectively with a variety of people at various levels within the company; Willingness to travel – international and domestic travel will likely be a requirement of this role (Job Number: 130003L) Company Description
