Manav Rachna Educational Institutions organize ‘Anti-Cracker Rally’ across Delhi-NCR... Students from Manav Rachna International Schools (MRIS) in Faridabad and Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Manav Rachna International University (MRIU) sensitized audiences through ‘Nukkad Naataks’ and peaceful processions. As part of the campaign, students visited various malls in Delhi & Faridabad (Select City Walk, Saket; MGF mall, Saket; DLF mall, Saket; Crown Interiorz, Faridabad, among others) and the key intersections in Faridabad (Neelam Chowk, B K Chowk, Sector 15 market, Sector 21 C market) to spread the message “say no to crackers and yes to life”. Some pedestrians who stopped to look at the march also joined in the procession. The aim behind the campaign was to motivate the masses to celebrate a safe and injury-free Diwali. The nukkad nataks focused on the fact that a Diwali without crackers would save a lot of money and prevent injuries and accidents. That besides, it would also make for a pollution-free environment. While flagging off the rally, Mrs. Satya Bhalla, Chief Patron, MREI said: “We have been organizing the anti-cracker rally for the past 4 years with a focus on keeping the environment clean and green. These initiatives help our students become better and well-rounded citizens. These campaigns change the thinking of people and bring more social awareness.” The call for a pollution-free Diwali further gained ground when the rally spread to the different blocks of the MRIU campus. Various groups of students from FMS created a buzz in the campus and covered busy areas like the college cafeteria and playgrounds. Around 3000 students from all over the campus witnessed the rally.
