The Italians have been told the £10m deal is on hold as incoming United boss Van Gaal regards him as part of his plans. Portugese winger Nani, who signed a new deal at Old Trafford last summer, had agreed terms with Juve. But van Gaal likes wingers and does not want to lose him before he takes charge after the World Cup. It could be seen as a huge lift for Nani, whose season has been dogged by injuries, lack of form and competition for places.
