Mangalyaan- The Dilemma Hats off to ISRO for making the nation proud. It is really a proud moment for all the Indians. ISRO is one of the most Brilliant institutes not only in India but also all around the world. The Mangalyaan Project is a crowning Jewel in the Already decorated head of ISRO. Now the other side... IS it really worth it?? I have plenty of doubts in my mind. Whats the purpose of the Mission to Mars?? Already we know there is no life in Mars, No water on surface, no habitable atmosphere too. Whats the point in finding Methane there?? Pls explain if anyone have any idea... Whats the point in studying the history of life in some inhabitable planet? Am not gonna say that India is a poor country so the Billions spent for Mangalyaan should be spent for poor people or so,,,, My Point is , ISRO should focus on Projects which are more important to Indians /Humans. Like , Satellites for Communication, Military satellites, GPS/Navigation satellites etc etc Why spending millions/Billions for pointless MARS missions?? Spent the money for something more important Like Modernisation of Our Military or Some R&D depts of Military or ISRO itself.
