Many Building Engineers and some Principals (Patrick Durkin- from Goudy ) were formerly policemen and firemen and wanted a less stressful life. Every Teacher and Principal , building engineer and facility manager knows that you eventually become immune from getting sick in a school. The teachers thought it was really cool- how you become immune. This was told to me in 2002 and is very true. The first two years- you get sick a lot- a whole lot- then you build up immunity from the flu from mingling. Your actually more at risk if you do not get sick once in a while. This is why the practice of not holding hands during the our father is ridiculous; Especially when people shake hands after the our father. Although there are so many people paranoid of getting sick they do not shake hands and the entire practice of holding hands during the Our Father has totally become forgotten. At one time before 911 and just after 911 priests would ask everyone to hold hands during the our father. To build up immunity - you get sick with a cold every once in a while- Its a cold- and then you are stronger- building up your immune system naturally.
