Many are the tears I have cried; my sorrow is great and trouble seeks to swallow me up; to take me down to the grave. All around me the enemy of my soul sets his traps trying to ensnare me. He lies in wait and earnestly yearns to destroy me. Who will save, who will care for me? Is there none who will bring me comfort? When it looked like the end was near it was you Jehovah-Shalom, who came and brought comfort, who eased my pain. It was you that rescued me from my sorrows and troubles. Oh my heart rejoices because of your goodness and mercy. It is you Adonai that has wiped away my tears, who led me around the snares of my enemy. Never cease to guide me on the path of righteousness and I will forever sing of your praises; I will forever give you thanks. It is you Jehovah-Shammah, that has shown me your grace. In the darkest night it was you Adonai-Jehovah that brought the light of your presence to me. Therefore, my heart does sing, and my soul rejoices because it is you Jehovah-MKaddesh who loves me.
