Many cultures see dogs/wolves as guardians of portals - these have been on guard at the site of the Ancient People at Rue Jacques Cartier, together with many passionate people these past few weeks; the pre-historical importance of the National Capital Region is awakening more and more folk of diverse backgrounds, and drawing them together in a desire to understand our human history better; note the info. from the Quarry Trail in Kanata (SMH zone) alerting us to connections with the Gatineau Hills; the next photo is the actual sea floor from 450 million years ago (and note the beaver trunk); now the many artifacts are confirming the presence of Paleolithic peoples in both Allumette/Morrison Island sites, and the Gatineau site, and adding clues to an understanding of their range of travel (yes, there was copper from Lake Superior!) Time and space converging - it feels like a holy moment in distressing global times.
