Many fond memories surface when reminiscing about this wunderkind, Aaron Defoe, but one that stands out most happened on a road trip to St. Louis. Russell Doombox Gaskins, Andrew McCulloch, Aaron, Jeremy Watson, and myself were en route, on I-70, cruising comfortably and previewing some of Aarons most recent production at the time. Were riding and quietly listening intently to a well produced ambient Broken Techno arrangement of Aarons. Out of nowhere, this fiercely putrid, inescapable, stench overcame us and took our collective olfactory senses hostage. Alarmingly disgusted, Russell breaks the verbal silence and demandingly yells WHATS THAT STENCH?!!? Before anyone in the car could respond, a sample in Aarons tune chimed in immediately with the words You dont know what it is, but its there. What ensued was one of the most hysterical and relentless cacaphony of raucous laughter probably ever known to man. There wasnt a dry eye in the vehicle. We laughed ourselves to impaired levels of retarded for what seemed like an eternity. The insane laughter sequence from the film Reefer Madness comes an embarrassingly distant second in comparison to that moment. Man... Bro... you are terribly missed!
