Many have told me how “lucky” Curt is to have me as his wife. - TopicsExpress

Many have told me how “lucky” Curt is to have me as his wife. Perhaps, but I think that I am the fortunate one! As many say about their spouses, my husband is one of the kindest, sweetest, generous, men on the planet. And to my surprise and good fortune he chose me, and I him. He tells me how much he appreciates and loves me daily (and I him). Yes, our lives, especially his, are challenging and difficult, but we have love in our home. We are so very blessed and fortunate to experience abiding love and commitment. Unlike so many in this world who face challenges (many, many far greater than ours), our physical needs are met and without too much worry or financial struggle as to how we will feed and clothe our family. Yes, we have a nice home. I would trade our nice home for a shack, if Curt could remain with us in a healthier body. I think our home is nice because it is filled with love, and not the possessions that reside within. Let me put this out there in the world that my husband was willing to undergo aggressive life sustaining support, for me (not because he wanted it, but because he knows how very much I want him here in our home with us). He was willing to continue suffering so I would not have to experience the pain of losing him. It is my honor and privilege to care for him. How fortunate and blessed am I to experience caring for someone so loving, kind, and selfless. He is my hero and I love him. I know this is not well said or written, but I just needed to “put it out in the world” how truly honored and blessed I am to be his wife.
