Many new stylists don’t ask 1st time guests to rebook–instead they wait for the guest to come back only then will they ask. When questioned why the answer is something like: ‘I wait for my 1st time guest to come back before I rebook them-that way I know they must like me and I won’t have to worry about being embarrassed if they say they no.’ Show me stylists who wait for the 2nd visit before asking for a rebook and I’ll show you stylists who are doing a lot of waiting and as a result are overly dependent on the salon for providing them more new clients. Building a repeat clientele in less than a year demands asking all new guests to rebook for their 2nd visit before they leave the 1st.
