Many of facebook friends who are not people of color my think this is inflammatory but I challenge you to think. Why is it acceptable for everyone to say we will never forget 9/11 but yet the majority of Americans will admittedly say slavery was a long time ago so black people should get over it? What effect do you think 400 years of persecution will have on a particular set of people? The Jews along with the rest of America ensure that the holocaust is never forgotten either. I would conclude that its easier to remember the sins of others and not your own. If you choose to respond keep it in mind that I have Jews, Muslims and white Anglo-Saxons and Hispanics in my family whom I love.
