Many of us may know someone who is afflicted with cancer. In line with the upcoming JomBotak campaign, I will not just be shedding my lady locks to the amusement of my friends, but it will also be a very symbolic and meaningful move for me to spur people to think about what being attractive means. By doing so I am not just normalizing baldness (this also includes cancer patients, as it is the traditional basis for the bald for charity move), but also making a statement that we as a society should be more inclusive of different and unique forms of expression. I chose MAKNA because they do excellent work. Ive read the contributions they make and the wonderful help they give to communities, which INCLUDES those from low-income families.
