Many of us who lived in South Africa found another country in 1994 post apartheid. On April 27th, 1994 the country voted to abandon it’s white only government and elected Nelson Mandela. Change came, at first in a rush, and then slowing to a gradual and necessary pace. Things are getting better, slowly. It may take a generation or two, maybe three, who knows. From the ashes of one great country has risen another, equally great, but more attuned to the needs of the 21st century. South Africa has had a harsh history, spanning colonialism, the tragic Apartheid experiment, and now with an emerging democracy. The jury is still out on whether or not democracy in the western model is the answer fro the New South Africa. The great people, of all races, of South Africa are very good at finding solutions. youtube/watch?v=mMmUtvYL4B8&index=755&list=LLbQlqwTYofUaIgwZ8duNzlg
