Many of you heard that the Wednesday night crash injured our Mayor Pete Truax. On behalf of our firehouse family we want to extend our best wishes to the man who over the years has been a Vietnam veteran, husband and father, teacher, coach, principal, athletic director, sports announcer, city councilor, mayor, and advocate for our fire department. You would be hard pressed to find a man who loves Forest Grove as much as Pete Truax, and you would be equally challenged to find a woman as delightful as his wife Pat. We fully understand that seeing our friends and neighbors in their worst times is just a part of what we do in a community like ours, and we were honored to work along the other first responders to care for the man that leads our city. Mr. Mayor, we wish for you a speedy recovery, and loads of patience for Pat, we know how much the wives out there love taking care of husbands with man colds so we can only imagine the job ahead of her as he recovers :).
