Many of you know about the PETA-connected celebrities who support the efforts to ban The Famous Horse Drawn Carriages of Central Park, such as Jillian Michaels, P!nk, Alec Baldwin, Kristin Chenoweth, Pamela Anderson and more. Some of these celebrities have stated publicly that they intend to adopt **OUR** horses when they put us out of business. The outrageous gall showed in such statements is outdone only by the pathetic lack of understanding that there are horses in TRUE need, right NOW, that these do-gooders could be helping. Our official retirement venue, Blue Star Equiculture, has written the following open letter to these people and others who think they are doing something noble by hoarding available homes for horses, waiting to steal a NYC carriage horse (which they will never get, we promise!) We do not expect that these people will reach out to try and help these at-risk horses that Blue Star is pleading for -- that wouldnt fit into their political agenda to get rid of our beloved carriages, and would completely undermine their already non-existent case that OUR horses are the ones in need. So we are posting it here, on this page, so that all of YOU folks can network for these two horses, whose time is running out. They are draft horses, who eat a lot and require special care, and have never been trained to do anything with people; just nice horses and pretty pasture ornaments, which puts them front row in the at-risk equine world.
