Many of you saw my appeal for financial help for YFC; I thought Id - TopicsExpress

Many of you saw my appeal for financial help for YFC; I thought Id share the letter we are sending to each person who gave. :) How lovely are the feet of those who bring the Good News! It is pleasing to be involved in anything of which we can say, “The Lord did it.” Friends, a few short days ago we were facing a week and month end deficit of nearly $17,000.00. We asked you all to give and you responded to God! Of the needed $17,000.00, only $35,000.00 came in. The Lord did it! It’s humbling and affirming. It’s amazing and typical. It’s humbling, because we know it’s God at work. It’s affirming, because we know God is sending us into this work. It’s amazing, because – well, because it’s amazing how God supplies! It’s typical, because God is in the regular habit of doing the amazing. Thank you for caring about the Gospel! Thank you for giving to the Gospel! Our regular, monthly, sustaining donors are such a tremendous blessing that I can find no other more adequate words for my thankfulness and admiration than to say, “You are God’s hand of supply!” Now, to you emergency donors – some of you are the same monthly donors – I can say, “You are God’s hand of abundance!” Through you all, God has sent supply in abundance! Praise the Lord! Thank the Lord! We must continue to say “Give us this day our daily bread…” and we trust God to use His people to send the slices and the loaves. Perhaps the most encouraging part of the whole experience is the people who dropped by, wrote notes, prayed for us and with us; it was seeing the People of the Lord come together. In times of so much uncertainty around the entire globe, it is a blessing to see us come together for the Gospel. It is good and pleasing for the brethren to dwell together in unity. Now, as strange as this might sound, I must say it: let us continue. Continue to give. Continue to noise abroad our need. Continue to pray – and not just for us, but with us, too. Continue to send notes of encouragement. Continue to drop by. We can see how God has used us together to answer; let us continue to be that answer. Our surpluses are usually short lived, so, yes, we must continue. One important note: many of you who gave during this recent crisis are supporters of staff; please know this – we applied your gifts to the staff you support unless you expressly noted for us not to. I love how God has called you to support these missionaries to the generations, and our people are our best asset, so we honor your calling to be God’s provision for their ministry. King David was right when he wrote, “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalm 23:1) With the Shepherd as ours, whatever else will be added at His good pleasure and through His good methods. I praise God He allows us to fellowship with Him, gives us gifts to steward and frees our hearts to use His stuff according to His leading. Again, thank you. Thank you, and praise the Lord! Thank God! He is good! YOU are His hands and you are allowing Him to flow freely through your fingers. Praise the Lord! My heart is so full. God filled it Himself, and brought you all in along with Him. I am humbled, thankful and rejoicing. Grace and peace to you from God the Father and Jesus the Son, Tim Bowes Romans 12:1-2
