Many people are unaware that in this country there are not many, if any regulations to offer nail services. I am fully qualified and insured in everything I offer, within these qualifications we are taught about the biological structure of nails, we are taught to look out for indicators that could cause health issues if a service was to be undertaken. Training is not just about applying a product. It teaches us a huge range of complications for example the dangers of not cleaning equipment etc properly. I regard cleanliness in my work the highest priority. I only use professional products which untrained techs will not be able to purchase through reputable sources. Resulting in counterfeit products being used possibly from ebay etc, potentially to the risk of your natural nails and even your health. Allergies can easily occur from non regulated products. All of This is reflected in my prices. I do not or never will offer any services I have not had training in. To obtain insurance you MUST have trained in you chosen treatments. I will never be a cheap technician due to my knowledge and qualifications of my treatments. If something sounds to good (cheap) to be true there is a high chance it is. Next time you use a tech, ask to see their certificates of qualifications. If they cannot produce these and prove to you that they are trained, go elsewhere.
