Many people ask me How and what made you want to mix on 3-4 Turntables? and also What is a defining moment that got you hooked into Drum & Bass And I cant believe I just found it!!!! This set was the set that got me into Drum & Bass properly, where I discovered tracks such as Konflict - Messiah, Bad Company UK and Spider and Mampi Swift / Charge Recordings and one of my all time favourite tunes from my childhood Feedback. I used to borrow Tapes from my cousin Michael and this one I kept (sorry man!) and played until it was basically unplayable and warped when going out painting walls, being a menace to society with Chris Hill, Jon Atack and Jack when we were around 15 & 14 years old! This set was the defining moment for me to save the pennies from my pocket money for 4 years to by a pair a Technics 1210, and Mampi Swift was my main inspiration and the 1 DJ along with Bad Company that I would risk my safety and mission to Stratford Rex (The Mad Max - Thunderdome of Venues), sometimes on my own at the age of 15/16 and was the starting point of setting up a label, being part of Close 2 Death Recordings, Artist Management, performing around the world, and meeting hundreds of people all into the same cause. This was the 1 form mainstream of DnB, before sub-genres and pigeon holing music. If there are any sets or tunes that got you into DnB, post them in here!!!
