Many people had the opportunity to listen attend the Convention - TopicsExpress

Many people had the opportunity to listen attend the Convention and hear my Seconding Speech for Joe Visconti. I thought it would be useful for me to share the text of the speech and to get hindsight feedback on it (Beyond the fact it was for Joe). Good morning delegates. My name is James McGovern. I am a Bloomfield Republican, a husband, a father and an Oath Keeper. On October 28th, 2008, I registered as a Republican because I saw something emerging in our society which was troubling to me. Our inner-city neighborhoods including Hartford, Bridgeport and New Haven were becoming the forgotten America. In Connecticut, we can’t continue to support elected officials that ignore the working poor. We can’t afford four more years of letting the American dream fade. We can’t afford four more years of forgetting about the middle class taxpayer who sends their children to struggling schools under the rule of Common Core. We can’t afford four more years of Governor Malloy and his broken, financially bankrupt liberal policies. Whether we speak about Common Core, the Second Amendment or even UN Agenda 21, I believe Joe Visconti has the fortitude and is committed to provide leadership to snatch this state from despair. We have lost jobs, many of our civil liberties and witnessed the destruction of small businesses, the life blood of our economy. We need a candidate that is not just acceptable to us Republican delegates but rather a candidate that Democrats and Libertarians can also get excited about. I second Joe Visconti for Governor of this great state of Connecticut. We need a Governor who will make sure that no matter who you are, no matter what part of the state you are from, if you work hard, you too can live the American dream. Let’s usher in a new generation of leadership by supporting Joe Visconti… Thank You. God bless our party and this great state…
