We would like to invite you to the 4th Southeast Asia Seminar to be held on 6th December 2013, 14:00 - 17:00, in Building No. 101, (Asia Center), Room 210, at Seoul National University. The speakers are Professor Kelvin Low (Department of Sociology, National University of Singapore), Professor Liazzat Bonate(Department of Western History, Seoul National University). The lecture shall be in English with Korean translation. The theme will be Southeast Asia-South Asia/Indian Ocean connections and comparisons. Prof. Low will be speaking on Gurkha Migrations to Southeast Asia and beyond, while Prof. Bonate will be speaking on Islam and Matriliny in East Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia This seminar is part of the Southeast Asia Seminar Series entitled Connections and Comparisons: Region and the World in the Framing of Southeast Asia.
