Many things going around in my,head these days... the feminist in me is on fire! this post is just the replica of my thoughts! ________________ I am posting this as i know your page have a good reach to the best people on the internet. You guys frequently talk about girls, girls mad in love, girls who are molested in past, strong girls, beautiful girls and so on. I just want to share that there are lot of girls who wants to be strong, want to take their own decisions, want to live their life to the fullest but cant. Its not that they are not capable, but because of their circumstances and moreover, this society. Most of the page members are from metro cities, you guys have your own kind of problems but the girls living in rural areas have their problems that too without solution. They can neither choose the course in which they are interested nor the college/school. Marrying a man of own choice is really a big deal for them. Chhote hote hi dialogue sunne ko milta rehta hai, koi shikayat aa gyi na agar teri, main zinda zameen me gaad dungi. Mothers are not best friends, they are only messengers of fathers. When a girl turns 13 or 14, they used to say, tujhe pta na tere daddy ka, agar tune koi galti ki na to tujhse pehle mujhe goli maar denge. brothers are not supporters. They are always looking for kahan ja rahi hai.... kiske sath ja rahi hai... kyon ja rahi hai.. Yeh kaise kapde pehne hain... flana ladka teri taraf kyon dekhta hai.. Bataun papa ko? In a marriage or any other family function, you are not allowed to dance or even go to eat something alone or even 2 or 3 girls. One of your mothers attendance is compulsory. Your brother is your bodyguard no matter if he is younger than you or weaker then you. You cant answer back to your father and mother. Even if a girl is strong enough to choose a man for her, then parents are like, Father: Is se pehle ke char log mujhe koi baatein karein.. main kuch khaa k mar jaana. Mother: Teri chhoti behen ki bhi shadi karni hai, kisi ne rishta nahi lena. Tera bhai kis muh se ayega jayega, 100 baatein karenge log. Do you think that after listening all this, that girl will go against her parents? No, definitely not. Life is hell here, oh sorry, we dont have a life. We are just breathing that too on terms and conditions set by our father and brothers. Bada kuch kehna chahti thi mai... pata nahi chala baat kahan se kahan tak chali gyi.. koi solution nahi chahiye bas cause we learnt to live life this way.. just wanted to share all this with you. And yeah, i am happy, all my friends, my cousins, we all are happy, even our mothers are happy and satisfied with this lifestyle. ***** I love it when I get to help people with anything they want but it saddens me to the core when someone would just say things and dont want any help. I wont blame this girl and yes I really cant help these kinds of father, mother and brothers. This is a true story. It must be happening with so many people out there. Well you probably cannot change what is happening to you right now but do you wish to let it happen to your kids after a few years? Make sure your kids dont turn out to be weak like you or assholes like your parents. Yes! You are weak cause you have made yourself happy with whatever you are going through.
