Many years ago, I was told by a trainer at a 24 Hour Fitness that weight was determined by calories in vs. calories out. Fascinated by the science behind it, I spent a TON of money on an activity tracker and began counting calories. I bought a digital food scale, weighed every gram and maintained a daily 500 calorie deficit for months. I was miserable and my entire day revolved around that deficit. Activity trackers arent a bad thing necessarily, but they miss the mark. The truth is: weight loss has much less to do with calories burned than it has to do with basic nutrition. This is a must watch.
