Man’s extremities are God’s opportunities Multitudes came to Jesus in the desert place. He began to teach them many things. And when the day was now far spent, his disciples told Jesus to send the people away, that they may go into the country and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat. Jesus told the disciples to give them to eat – about 5000 men, that means 20000 men, women and children put together. It was impossible for the disciples to feed them. All that they had was only five loaves and two fish. Jesus took those loaves and fish, blessed and gave to his disciples. They did all eat and were filled. They took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishe. What is impossible for man is possible for man. Moses and about 600,000 men (men, women and children put together about 3 millions) escaped Egypt and were passing through the wilderness to the promised land of Canaan. They looked back and saw the army and chariots of Pharaoh were chasing them to capture them. The Red Sea was in front. They were caught. The Israelites cried and rose against Moses. Moses was helpless and caught in an extreme and impossible situation. He did not know what to do. God stepped in. He said to Moses, Fear you not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall see them again no more forever. Pharaoh and all his host perished in the sea. Never count any situation impossible, God is there for you. Your extremity is God’s opportunity (House of Prayer, Sunday, 26-1-2014
