Mapusa Rioting case of year 2004, all accused chargesheeted in court in year 2005 and till 2012 was pending for trial. Main Accused in the case Francis De souza became Minister on 09th March 2012 and within 12 days from becoming minister the case pending in court got disposed and atlast he along with other accused got acquitted. Interesting to see the complainant got compromised to compound the case. No appeal preferred by state nor any action on Investigating officer Tushar Vernekar nor any action on Complainant for turning hostile to compound the case.
