Mara update... After treating her UTI, we did another urinalysis to ensure the infection was gone...test results, negative!! Her who-ha is infection free...yay!! Over the weekend we noticed a small mass on her side, which we had aspirated on Monday. The results confirm that it is a mast cell tumor (cancerous). Mara is scheduled for surgery tomorrow for its removal. It will be submitted for review to determine the grade and what our course of action will be. I will likely be scheduling a consult with an oncologist to address this tumor. Keep Mara in your prayers tomorrow.
