March 4th marked the anniversary of the passing of Jack Boland, speaker and founder of the Church of Today. I posted this on a thread about him, and want to share it with you: There is the messenger and the message. Jack delivered a powerful message and shaped the minds, hearts and consciousness of many we all know. I have found with all the work I have done with writers, speakers and experts that many in their audiences want to hold them to the letter of their message. Jack had his share of issues, as many who have walked to the front of the room also have. Yet, too many more people stay at the back of the room. They refuse to take a stand, or say what they think and believe. They hope you are so busy that youre looking the other way. If one wishes to be a leader, then be so in your thoughts, deeds and words. Take bold steps that also empower others. Dont use excuses or gossip as reasons why you should or should not. When you leave this planet, do so with your tank on empty and your arms having one more hug in them.
