Marched my very last half time show with the Otsego Marching Band - TopicsExpress

Marched my very last half time show with the Otsego Marching Band last night. The weather was atrocious. Almost acts as a symbol for the hardships faced throughout my marching career. However, just like last night, the band and I have overcome these challenges and have made great music together. Those sneaky little juniors tried to get the senior class to cry, and if it wasnt so darned cold I would have like a 2 year old baby. I realize other marching performances, such as parades, are still going to happen this year, but none of that comes close to the emotion and feeling of a friday night under the lights performance. I never get to stand on my podium (dubbed, The Enterprise) ever again. I never get to almost fall off of it, (Thanks Mr. Wallace, for literally saving my life last night...). As Drum Major, I have the beautiful opportunity to sit back and watch the Band progress throughout the season. From Band Camp to Game 10 I have gotten to see the HUGE amount of progress made by the band. It makes me feel so good to see people improve, and my position as Drum Major has cemented my decision to pursue Music Education after High School. Finally, I feel blessed to be a part of the most unique and talented class in Otsego History. You guys kick tail, seriously. I am so thankful for all the memories and friends from Marching Band. Thank you all so much
