Marcon was very, very good to me, to all of Three-Fifths! We had a blast playing on Saturday. I arrived (unfortunately) too late for Friday concerts, but Ookla the Mok, Tim Griffin, Wax Chaotic, and of course GoHs Heather Dale, Ben Deschamps, and their wonderful percussionist were fabulous. There was a delicious variety of musical styles in the performances, and the most enticing choices of music-related panels Ive ever seen. 3/5 hosted a panel about the dynamics of solo vs. group performance, which went rather well. Filk circles were fun too, though ending earlier than I expected - probably because everyone was thoroughly exhausted. Thanks so much to Kathy Hamilton and the entire Filk/Music staff for having us there! See you next year.
