Margos Monday Mention: Workout Nutrition for your Body-Type Still wondering what to eat before, during and after exercise? Because everyone has a different body type and metabolism, we shouldnt all eat the same meals. Here is a great graphic with some helpful tips for different body types. The three most common body type classifications are ectomorph, mesomorph, and endomorph. An ectomorph is someone who is lean without having to work hard to attain it. They process carbs well yet have to work harder than most to gain muscle mass. A mesomorph tends to be a more athletic classified body. These people build muscle quickly but can also gain fat mass relatively easily as well. An endomorph is one who carries more body fat mass. These people have to be more careful with their diets than the others. They can gain muscle mass more easily than ectomorphs can. Most people do not fit strictly into one category. It is common to be in between two classifications. Be careful not to incorrectly classify yourself just because you have had the same body composition and type for many years. If you are thin and good at long distance running you arent necessarily an ectomorph. With the right diet and exercise you could potentially build some muscle mass. If you have been overweight for many years, you are not necessarily an endomorph. How about taking a good, long look at your diet and exercise habits? ~ Margo precisionnutrition/workout-nutrition-infographic
