Mariah Parkinson Asked: I want to ask the love crosses borders community a question how they would handle this situation. Living in Oklahoma, my husband and I get a lot of stares. Almost always from elderly people. It is pretty much a guarantee that if we go out to eat, if I glance up I will catch a dirty stare from an elderly man or woman. It really upsets me. Sometimes they look away, but sometimes they just keep on staring, basically telling me they are passing judgment on me with their eyes. I am a white female and my husband is mixed black and white. It just really ruins my meal, and makes me so angry and uncomfortable. How do you deal with these situations? Sometimes I just stare right back. I wish people would just mind their own business and let us go about our day in peace. Would you say something? Ignore it? It just happened while we are eating breakfast and I want to throw my fork at him lol.
