Marian is out of surgery and in the PICU. Her VSD repair was a success and the Eco shows the patch is working. She still has a long road to recovery with some of the steps being. 1. She is attached to an external pacemaker which is just a precaution if needed. Hopefully with in the day they will determine the electricity in her heart is working and they can remove it. 2. Shes still under sedation and we will see that her seizures dont reappear like they did with her prior surgery when she wakes up. 3. Shes on a ventilator and once she can breathe on her own it will be removed. 4. Shes currently has 2 drainage lines that are removing excess blood around the heart to keep pressure off the heart.
