Marine Sergeant Andrew Tahmooressi has been confined to a Mexican jail cell for almost three months, and the Obama administration either cannot or will not do anything about it. Apparently, “we leave no one behind” applies to only to accused deserters in Afghanistan, not active duty service members in Mexico. (And don’t even ask about Libya.) Not surprisingly, the sergeant’s mother is fighting for her son’s return even as the White House ignores her. Other calls for Tahmooressi’s return have come from supporters as diverse as Bill O’Reilly, Dr. Ben Carson, Congressman Matt Salmon, and a biker group known as Riders USA.
