Mark Levy of The Sierra Vista Herald put this video together about a friend of Scott Muhlemans. He asked us only a few weeks ago if we could maybe find some music and possibly write a song for this project. Jim Harrelson came over a couple of times and we exchanged ideas, fooled around with different tunes and had a bit of a hard time with lyrics because neither Jim nor I know Gustavo very well. Scott said, I could tell you a story but youd have to know the man... and thats when the lyrics were born. Its a simple song for Gustavo. The other two pieces are Jims from his La Mezcla days. We then called Frank Tornoe and asked him to record us quickly as time was really running out. He got us in the studio THE NEXT DAY, mastered it while out of town and we got it to Mark just under the wire. I cant believe its done! So heres to you Gustavo and your pop, Francisco.
